Putin is now fighting his Gettysburg. Just as Robert E.Lee knew that time was running out on the Confederacy, Putin knows that without a quick victory, his days are numbered. Lee knew that Vicksburg was gone, along with 30,000 Confederate soldiers under Pemberton, and that all the supplies from Texas would be gone as well. Plus, Charleston Harbor was blockaded and so was New Orleans. Putin is now broke, and his oil revenue is not going to be enough to last the winter. Russian truck drivers are limited to 200 liters of diesel at every gas station; not enough to drive through from St. Petersburg to Moscow without at least one extra stop in hours-long waiting lines. Fuel shortages, water shortages and munition shortages on Crimea are making any normality impossible. There is only one bridge left connecting Crimea with Russia.
