Since no one is allowed to travel this Christmas, I thought it would be nice to take you on a virtual photographic tour of my "zweite Heimat". So what's a "Heimat". This is another German word with no real simple translation. It embodies, home, country, (sometimes place of birth), a place where you feel safe and accepted, because you know the land and the people and the customs and they are a part of you. It's a very important word in the German language. I only use it because I know what it means to them, and to me.
